Real answers for the guy who's done his homework and still isn't sure
Yes — and I'm living proof. I'm a WNBF Natural Pro with pro status across four federations, an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Bodybuilding Specialist, and I've been fully plant-based for 8+ years. Muscle is built through progressive overload, adequate protein, recovery, and consistency — none of which require animal products. The key is knowing how to source and combine plant proteins effectively to hit your leucine threshold and trigger muscle protein synthesis. That's exactly what we build into every program.
Absolutely. You don't have to be vegan to benefit from a plant-forward approach. Many of my clients are simply looking to perform better, feel better, and reduce their dependence on processed foods and animal products — without going all-in overnight. We meet you where you are and build from there. The goal is progress, not perfection.
Not with a properly designed plan. Legumes, tempeh, tofu, edamame, seitan, pea protein, and the right supplementation strategy give you everything you need. Your custom macro plan is built specifically for your body weight, training intensity, and goals — not generic averages.
We operate primarily through Zoom, WhatsApp, and Google Drive. Your custom program is delivered digitally, check-ins happen weekly (or bi-weekly at higher tiers), and you have direct access to me between sessions. If you're local to San Diego, in-person sessions can also be arranged.
Programs are designed around your schedule — not the other way around. Most clients are busy professionals and dads who don't have 2 hours a day to spend in the gym. We build efficient, high-output programs that fit your real life. What I require is consistency and honest check-ins. That's the deal.
A few things. First, I'm in it with you — I'm an active WNBF Natural Pro who self-coaches my own competition prep, so everything I teach I do. I'm also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Bodybuilding Specialist, so the programming isn't guesswork. Second, nutrition isn't an add-on — it's non-negotiable in every program, because you can't outwork a bad diet. Third, our nutrition assessments are led by Lorraine Roberson, NP MSN — a licensed nurse practitioner and lifestyle medicine specialist. That clinical depth is something most coaching programs simply can't offer.
It comes down to commitment length and clinical depth. Kickstart is month-to-month — ideal if you want to get started without a long commitment. Foundation and Elite are fixed programs (12 and 16 weeks) with progressively more Lorraine sessions and deeper periodization. Transformation (6 months) and Mastery (12 months) are where serious, sustained body recomposition happens — with quarterly or monthly clinical sessions with Lorraine, written summaries, and at the Mastery level, a full Annual Performance Report. The longer you commit, the more comprehensive the coaching relationship.
Because it's the single biggest variable in your results. You can't outwork a bad diet — that's not a motivational line, it's physiology. I won't take your investment and hand you a training plan without addressing what's on your plate. That's not coaching — that's a template.
Lorraine Roberson is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialty in lifestyle medicine and women's health. She leads the clinical nutrition assessments in our programs — evaluating how your body is functionally responding to your dietary intake, identifying patterns related to energy, inflammation, and overall health, and providing clinical-grade recommendations. At Transformation and Mastery tiers, she delivers written clinical summaries after every session. At the Mastery level, she works with you monthly across the full year and co-authors your Annual Performance Report.
No — but you'll be surprised how good you feel when you lean into it. Your meal plan is built around your current habits and preferences. We don't do rigid overnight overhauls. We build sustainable, high-performance eating habits that evolve as you do.
Most clients notice changes in energy and recovery within the first 2–3 weeks before physique changes are visible. Visible body composition shifts typically appear around weeks 4–6 depending on your starting point, consistency, and nutrition adherence. The programs are designed so your most dramatic results compound in the back half.
Both. The program is built around your current level — not a template. Whether you're picking up weights seriously for the first time or you've trained for years and hit a wall, the approach adapts. What I look for isn't experience — it's commitment.
That depends on the tier. Graduates of the Transformation or Mastery programs are eligible for the Alumni Rate — $400/month ongoing coaching, locked in as long as you stay enrolled continuously (must enroll within 30 days of completion). Foundation and Elite graduates are welcome to continue at the standard Kickstart rate or upgrade to a longer program. Either way, you leave with a clear picture of what's working and what's next.
